Using suggestion values and how to upgrade
Help, I have no permissions (SU53)! You want to start a transaction, but you have no permissions? Or the more complex case: You open the ME23N (show purchase order), but you don't see any purchase prices? Start transaction SU53 immediately afterwards to perform an authorization check. The missing authorization objects will be displayed in "red". You can also run SU53 for other users by clicking on Authorization Values > Other Users in the menu and entering the corresponding SAP user name.
The maintenance status of permissions in PFCG roles plays an important role in using the Role Menu. The Maintenance Status allows you to determine how the authorization object entered the role and how it was maintained there. The blending function of role maintenance credentials in the PFCG transaction is a powerful tool that helps you with role processing. If the Roll menu has been changed, the Mix feature will automatically add the permissions suggestions that are included in a single role. This is based on the proposed authorisation values defined in the transaction SU24, whose maintenance status is standard in the authorisation maintenance. These permission values are also called default permissions. Permissions with different maintenance status, i.e. Care for, Modified or Manual, are not changed during mixing - the exception is removing transactions.
Authorization object documentation
You know that changing your SU24 data involves mixing the roles in question. Previously, the permission administrators had to select roles from, for example, the SUIM transaction to edit them. Often, the remixing of the respective roles is also forgotten. In order to ensure that you can set the mixing mode for the respective roles directly when maintaining the data in the transaction SU24, the function has been provided here with the respective support packages named in SAP Note 1896191. Correction is used to change the mixing mode for PFCG: On/Off/Roles. The function assigns the shuffle mode to the roles, which corresponds to step 2c of the transaction SU25 (see tip 43, "Customise Permissions After an Upgrade"). You can enable this function by using the value Y for the parameter SU2X_SET_FORCE_MIX in the table PRGN_CUST. The status of the mixing mode can be checked by clicking the button Mixing mode for PFCG: Enquire On/Off. By default, this feature is off. The Roles button (Use in Single Roles) identifies all the roles that the selected application contains and displays them directly in the SU24 transaction. You will receive a list of all matching roles in the SUPC transaction by selecting the Also-to-be-matched roles option, and you can now gradually update the roles.
Your SAP system landscape keeps you safe and up-to-date by inserting different types of SAP hints and patches. For a first overview of the security information for SAP systems, see the SAP Service Marketplace at https://service.sap.com/securitynotes. For a complete list of all security advisories for all SAP solutions (SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP and Java, TREX, SAP HANA, Sybase, SAP GUI, etc.), see Security Notes Search on this page. The My Security Notes page allows you to find the SAP notes that are relevant for systems registered in SAP Service Marketplace. This does not take into account information already recorded.
Authorizations can also be assigned via "Shortcut for SAP systems".
SAP_NEW represents a specific permission profile that summarises the concrete permission changes between two SAP release levels.
Enter "Y" or "F" for filters here if you want to define a filter (see Tip 38, "Use SU22 and SU24 transactions correctly") and save your input.
