This step prompts you to customise your modifications to Repository objects by calling the transaction SPAU. EPILOGUE In this step the insertion is completed. Among other things, it is checked that the queue has been fully processed. SPAM: Troubleshooting The SAP Patch Manager performs several steps during the recording. If errors occur, SPAM will interrupt the playback to ensure consistency of the recording. After fixing the error, you can resume playback. When you cancel, a dialogue box appears with the information on which step and why the editing failed. This dialogue box is also available when you select Jump Status and then Queue, Support Package or SPAM Update (View Support Package Status (page 29)). Depending on the processing step in which the error occurred, the dialogue box will provide you with additional specific assistance to correct the error. If you are unable to resolve your issue with the information provided or with the following information, then record a problem message in the SAPNet - R/3 frontend with the information from the error dialogue box and send it to the BC-UPG-OCS topic group. In the default scenario, the support packages in the queue are fully loaded. In the event of an error, you will not be able to resume and complete the playback successfully unless the error(s) are resolved. Prerequisites The queue is already defined. Procedure To set the scenario you want, select Additions Settings. Select the desired scenario. Select Insert Support Package Queue. You can also use this function to restore an aborted commit procedure. The status bar provides information on the progress of the commit and the latest steps of the SAP Patch Manager. During the recording, you may get into the modification comparison (SPDD, SPAU). If you are playing with the default scenario, you must immediately perform the comparison of Dictionary objects (transaction SPDD), whereas when you compare Repository objects (transaction SPAU), you have the choice to skip it first and perform it later (modification comparison [page 22]). The mode is blocked while a Support Package is being introduced. To avoid repeated login, open a second mode before inserting the queue.

With "Shortcut for SAP Systems" a tool is available that greatly facilitates some tasks in the SAP basis.

Users usually notice the problem of a user comparison that has not been carried out quite quickly: Authorizations are missing, although at first glance they are available in the assigned authorization roles.

This allows easier maintenance and drastically minimises the error rate.
