SAP Basis is also known as module BC or application Basis. In this regard, SAP Basis refers to all transactions, programs and objects that control the functions of the overall system. This includes, among other things, user and authorization management as well as the configuration of interfaces via RFC.

There are the following reasons that may lead to the termination of this step: CANNOT_GET_OBJECT_LIST: The Object List of a Support Package could not be found because the Support Package does not exist. CANNOT_GET_LAST_UPGRADE_INFO: Unable to locate information about the latest Repository Switch upgrade. UNRESOLVED_ADDON_CONFLICTS: Conflicts with add-ons could not be resolved because the corresponding CRTs from the queue are missing. SPDD_SPAU_CHECK This step will check if a modification match (transactions SPDD/SPAU) is necessary. DDIC_IMPORT This step imports the ABAP Dictionary.
Support for adjustments and changes to the systems
In the database, which is located on a database server, all data of a company is saved. Application programs pull the data they need from the database. This data can consist of data tables, applications or system control tables. In addition, the database also takes new information from users and backs it up.

Capacity must be built to provide the necessary space for pilot and research projects and to meet the increased demands. This can be done, among other things, by increasing the previous resources or/ and by measures of standardisation & automation as well as "cloudability", outsourcing & outtasking.

Some missing SAP basic functions in the standard are supplied by the PC application "Shortcut for SAP Systems".

Why is an emergency user approach important? There are several scenarios in which the use of an emergency user with extended rights is useful: In urgent cases, it is often necessary to be able to quickly make changes to the system that are outside the user's actual field of activity.

The definition, organisational structure as well as the naming of the SAP basis is historically conditioned by previous SAP software versions and components.
